What it is
DriveAlternatives.com is an online community devoted to the proliferation of alternative fuels. Today we display alternative fueling locations across the United States. These stations offer E85, BioDiesel, CNG, rapid electric charging, LPG, and Hydrogen. The founders of DriveAlternatives.com seeded the station database and since turned it over to users for editing. Site content is completely open to users to add/edit/request deletion, much alike how Wikipedia is run. We believe by allowing our website to be controlled by an online community we'll have the most up to date and reliable source of information for alternative fuels.
Who we are
We're two environmentally conscious entrepreneurs who believe alternative fuels offer a feasible solution to America's current energy crisis. Our goal is to bring awareness and change to today's unsustainable landscape through bringing information and technology together with support of concerned, passionate users.
What we drive
We both drive diesel vehicles that, when available, we fill with biodiesel. One of us drives a 1983 300 TD Mercedes and the other drives a 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit pickup. We are also planning on installing a vegetable oil conversion kit in the rabbit to run off the used oil you would find at fast food restaurants.
