EPA Rates Nissan Leaf 99 MPG

A new record, the EPA has just rated the Nissan Leaf at 106 mpg-e in the city, 92on the freeway. The Nissan Leaf can now claims itself as the highest mpg and perhaps greenest car in the US.

20,000 buyers have pre-ordered the Leaf, so many that Nissan has stopped taking orders. The leaf will drive 73 miles per charge and for average users cost about $563 per year in electricity.

Now all eyes are on the EPA for the Chevy Volt's rating...
